On Wednesday, the 6th of May 2020, Prof. Aristotelis Naniopoulos, as proxy of the artist Constantin Xenakis, signed the donation of 171 paintings to the Municipality of Serres, for the Contemporary Art Museum that will bear his name.
The Mayor of Serres, the “SERREON POLITEIA” Society and Prof. Aristotelis Naniopoulos would like to sincerely thank Mr. Xenakis for his generous gesture in the city of Serres.
Our moto in CULTURAL DIPOLE project “INVESTORS IN CULTURE for fighting crisis” was adopted at a time without the coronavirus epidemic but now has a twofold meaning. The contractor and the Municipal Department of Technical Services, with respect to the rules of hygiene, work systematically with the aim to complete the restoration, possibly in June. Τhe implementation of the Museological – Museographical Study will follow, hoping that very soon we will have a fully functional museum.
